All information above has always been on my memorial in the right cemetery, from the day it was created.

Information below was gleaned from a "Burial Unknown" memorial, which is still an unknown, and has never been entered into any cemetery. Some of the information below that I gleaned has been deleted, added and or corrected, as I am a direct bloodline descendant of "William Locke" as well.

The immigrant ancestor of Edwin F. Locke was William Locke, who was born in Stephney Parish, London England and baptized December 20, 1628.

He came with relatives to this country when a child in the ship "Planter," March 22, 1634. It is not certain how early he settled in Woburn, but the first real estate he is recorded as purchasing there was about 1650. Later he became a large real estate owner, and took an active part in town affairs, serving as selectman several times, as constable, grand juror, and in other positions. He was also deacon of the church.

He was not only a farmer, but carpenter and builder. He died at Woburn, June 16, 1720. He married, December 25, 1655, (Notation: marriage day incorrect, Butterfly~Kisses) Mary Clarke, daughter of William and Margery (Notation: Margaret, Butterfly~Kisses) Clarke of Woburn. Children of Deacon William and Mary (Clarke) Locke, born in Woburn.

Thus concludes with alterations, of the information gleaned from "Deacon William Locke", Burial Unknown and in no cemetery.
