BEALS – Vertland A. Crowley, 82, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 22, 2013, at his home. He was born March 23, 1930, on Beals, the son of the late Millard and Aura (Alley) Crowley.

He was a lifelong resident of Beals and loved working on the water. He enjoyed cooking, bird hunting, and summer camping trips on Fisherman's Island and Black Duck Cove.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Debrah A. (Seavey), in 2010. He is survived by his three sons, Millard and wife, Betty, Vinal and wife, Nancy, and Lyman and wife, Linda; a brother, Philmore and wife, Lovina; a sister, Cedora Alley and husband, Harold, all of Beals; six grandchildren, Jason and wife, Karen, Shelley and husband, Arlin Jr., Crystal and husband, Leslie, Vinal Jr., Aura and Cody; six great-grandchildren, Kristin, Alexis, Dezira, Arlin III, Zachary and Shelby; a special great-great-granddaughter, Lexianne; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, to include special friends, Benny Beal, Buster Huntley and Kevin Beal.

Burial will be held at Great Wass Cemetery, Beals. (Bangor Daily News 1/24/2013)
