Edna was the 4th child born & 3rd daughter to Dovie Viola (Smith) & Rudolphus "Dolph" Reliford Biddle.
Edna was born & raised in the High Point community of DeKalb County, AL. At the age of 19 she went to Chattanooga to live with her sister, Ora until she married Charlie Cladden Shubert on Jan. 25, 1918. They had one daughter together, Vivian Charlsie on May 18, 1922. In 1925 when Vivian was about 3 years old, Edna & Charlie seperated and divorced. Edna then moved close to Los Angeles, CA for about 5 years to get away. While in California she married Earl Goodspeed on July 16, 1927 in Los Angeles. Around 1930, Edna moved back to Chattanooga where she owned and operated a restaurant for several years. Edna & Earl divorced at some point, not sure if it was when she moved back to Chattanooga or not, but Earl remarried in 1942. in the later years of her life, she moved to the New Home community in DeKalb County, AL and lived there until her death.
