Henry A. Diehr, 81, of King George County Va. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2007.
He was a member of Cannaan's Faith Church of God and had retired from A & P Grocery Store after 35 years. Mr. Diehr was an avid woodworker and played steel guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Doroty B. Diehr; three sons, Clarence Randy Diehr and his wife, Vicky of Fredericksburg, Clayton Diehr and his wife, Marie of Austin, TX, and Rick McGrory and his wife, Gail of Jacksonville, FL; six daughters, Mary Lou Wright and her husband, Earl of Falmouth, Brenda Armstrong and her husband, Scott of Savannah, GA, Sharon Smith and her husband, Bill of Ball Ground, GA, Kathy Lynn Mapp and her husband, Glen of Iowa, Nancy Cook and her husband, Morton of King George and Linda Cropp and her husband, Ronald of Spotsylvania; a brother, Lynwood Struder of Falmouth; 25 grand children and 30 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Diehr was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence R and Madalin McCleary Diehr and a son, Henry A. Diehr, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Thursday, February 22, at Covenant Funeral Chapel with Pastor Timothy Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm Wednesday, February 21 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Smith, Jason Smith, Jonathan Smith, Kevin Staley, Timothy Diehr, Mike Ranagan and Richard Cropp…
