James Franklin Hamilton, a native of Lincoln County and an employee of the Borden Company for 23 years, died Tuesday morning in Lincoln County Hospital. He was 79 years old.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Higgins Funeral Home by the Rev. Billy Ray Panter. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hamilton was the son of the late James and Margaret Ann Walker Hamilton. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, and a resident of Fayetteville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Lou Hamilton; one son, Wilson Hamilton of Fayetteville; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Reedy of Chattanooga, Mrs. Jean Chasteen of Wilmington, Delaware, and Miss Margaret Hamilton of Nashville; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Solomon of Lincoln County and Mrs. Alice Noles of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
