Julia was the daughter of Jeremiah Vail, Sr. and Mary Bradley, of Mt. Olive, Bienville Parish, LA, and granddaughter of John Michael Vail and Rachel Funderburk & John Bradley & Annie (an Indian woman), of Alabama. She married Giles R. Blalock on Jan. 14, 1886. She had no children.
