Michael Keith Neil

In loving memory of our dad, grandpa, brother, son, and uncle Michael Keith Neil, who passed away the morning of January 21, 2013.
He was born in Provo, Utah on October 12, 1945 to Victor K. Neil and Hazel Boren Atkin.
He was raised in Provo by the only dad he ever knew, George A. Atkin.
Mike attended schools in Provo, and enlisted in the United States Military at age 17, where he served two tours in Vietnam. He married Virginia Allred on October 12, 1964 and together they had two children. They were later divorced. Mike then married Vickey Harmon on April 10, 1973 in Elko, Nevada. He made his living driving semi trucks for various companies until his retirement in May of 2009.
He is survived by his children, Bob (Nanette) Neil; Gina (Rick) Shoell; Steve (Natalie) Neil; Rayna Neil; Shawnna (Derek) Peterson; Stacy (Jason) Haycock; Sharee Neil; and Sterling Neil; his siblings, Alan Atkin; Rick (Sylvia) Atkin; and Karen (Valden) Carlisle; foster brother, Darrel (Lisa) Fietkau. Mike had 16 grandkids and three great grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vickey; daughter, Shannon; brother, Gene Atkin; and grandson, Shane.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah.
Family and friends may call on Friday evening, January 25, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah.
