"Charles H. Noyes" was an alias used by George W.
Buck, first husband of Hannah Estes Kelley of Maine. See pension
application number WC72980 filed for their son, George Wilmer Buck, by
her for affidavits attesting to this. I have been unable to find any
information about him prior to his wedding or the identity of his
parents.

George and Hannah were married in Burlington, Maine, in July 1862.
Their son was born in March 1863 in Maine. By the end of 1863 George
and his family had moved to Waupaca County, Wisconsin. George enlisted
in the 21st Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment in December 1863. He
was shot during the Battle of Resaca in May 1864 and died in August.
