David was born to parents George Washington Haddock and Mary Elizabeth "Bessie" Paramore. He was married to Mamie Ruth Mills in 1946 and there are three known children at this time named Ola Earl Haddock 1947– ?, David Franklin Haddock 1953– and John Carson Haddock 1959–1959.

UPDATE:
John Carson Haddock is the biological son of John Washington Haddock and Jean Carolyn Lewis, his father James was the son of Leon Caswell Haddock who happened to be the brother of David Earl Haddock, this makes John the nephew of David Earl Haddock. It's possible he was adopted by them but his birth and death certificates both list James Washington and Jean Carolyn Lewis as his parents.
