Miss Maxine M. Jordan of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in the Knopp Nursing Home in Fredericksburg on Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 at the age of 87 years. She was born January 22nd, 1925 in Gillespie County, Texas the daughter of Albert Jordan and Emma Moritz Jordan. Was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, member of St. Mary's Church, where she was the secretary-bookkeeper for over 50 years.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; she is last of ten children, two brothers, and seven sisters, Joseph & Lawrence Jordan, Agnes Schnelle, Ann Taylor, Clara Heiman, Katherine Andrews, Sister Bonaventure Jordan C.D.P. and Liddy Herbort.
Maxine is survived by the following Nieces & Nephews, Nancy Weld, Margo Stahl, Wayne, Michael and James Taylor, and Monica Ann Shafer. Numerous great nieces, nephews.
Vigil services will be held on Thursday evening at 6:00 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, with Deacon Pat Klein officiating.
Mass of resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 18th, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, with Monsignor Enda McKenna officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
In Lieu of Flowers, Maxine had asked that memorial contributions in her memory be given the St. Mary's School Endowment Fund.
Visitation for Maxine Jordan will be held on Thursday afternoon from 5 to 7:00 P. M. & on Friday from 7:30 A.M. to 1:45 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
