Betty Jo Hudgins Mulkey, age 65.a resident of Old Fort, TN. passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 in a Chattanooga health care facility. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Mulkey; parents, Jessie Andrew Hudgins and Joy Cordell Hudgins; children, David Dewayne Partin and Tammy Elizabeth Partin, and sister Brenda Fay Hudgins.
She is survived by four children; James Earl and wife Carrie Partin of Decatur, TN, Jeffrey Lamar and wife Victoria Lee of Cleveland, TN, Phyllis Ann Crowder of Old Fort, TN, and Ronnie Eugene Carter of Cleveland, TN.; two sisters, Marjorie Verner of Ducktown, TN. And Lucille Cross of Ellijay, GA.; two step brothers, Gene Hudgins , David Dawson, Jr.; two step sisters., Susie Hudgins, and Jo Ann Hudgins, all of Cleveland; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee, Christopher Partin, Brandon Partin, Maria Abeyta, Rickey Burke, Angel Burke, Amy Gibson, Britton Crowder, Samantha Crowder, and Terry Crowder. Several nieces and nephews and the Crowder family of Tellico Plains, TN. also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Harwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with Jeff Lee, James Fuller, Christopher Partin, Brandon Partin, Britton Crowder and Lucas Stinnett serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
