Harley Shannon Felker, 64 1206 Main street, died this morning at a hospital here a short time after being admitted. He had been ill several months. Mr. Felker was a cement finisher and general contractor. Born at Savannah, Mo., he had lived in this city most of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Felker of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Bunch, Mrs. Marie Sherard, Mrs. Jean Smith, Mrs. Jospehine Sipe, and Mrs. Willette Reeder, all of St. Joseph; three sons, Harley M. Felker, St. Joseph, Raymond C. Felker, a navy dental technician at Cherry Point, N.C., Staff Sgt. George E. Felker, serving with the Air Force at Tampa, Fla.; his mother, Mrs. Alice Felker, St. Joseph; a brother, Otha Felker, St. Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. May Davis, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Lena Kaufman, Troy Kan.; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Felker was a member of the Savannah Avenue Baptist Church and Cement Finishers Local No. 54.
The body is at the Stamey funeral home.
