Julia Sims, 90, of Lockeford, passed away January 12, 2013. Born July 27, 1922, Julia belonged to the Fairmont Seventh Day Adventist Church. Also known as "Toots", she loved her children and grand children and loved having them together for dinners. She volunteered for local food banks, and loved gardening and baking for people, especially in later years for the firehouse next door.
Julia will be missed by her sister, Marie Mustra, son Dennis and his wife Peggy, grandchildren Scott, Mike, Brian Sims and Tiffany Bowlin, and great grandchildren Leanna Nava, Emmalee and DJ Bowlin. She also leaves behind two great great grand children, Julian and Hanna Nava.
Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Acel Sims, son Leroy Sims, her parents, Mike and Lydia Kostolnik, and her siblings, Elsie, Martha, Pauline, Rhienhart, Lawrence and Jack. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
