Clifford L Proper, 74, of 129 Mead Ave, Corry, died suddenly at his residence Friday. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born in Amity Township, Dec 23, 1908, son of the late James R and Lola Bisbee Proper. He worked as a railroad crossing guard in Corry for both the Erie and the Pennsylvania Railroads for several years. He also was employed at the Aero Supply Co in Corry for several years, including the period of World War II. He retired from Corry Manufacturing Co in 1974, after 16 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Bromley Proper, in 1980; and by two sons, Clarence and Clifford Proper. He is survived by two daughters; four sons; four sisters; two brothers; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, Corry...Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry.
