In 1915 the community event was the celebration of the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Clark. He leaves to mourn, besides a brother at Chillicothe, Iowa, two sons, George A. and Charles W. Clark and one daughter, Mrs. A.O. Stucker, all of Paonia, and twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, besides a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the home of George A. Clark Sunday afternoon at 2:30 by the Rev. Mr. E. G. Morse, pastor of the Community Church, after which the body was tenderly laid at rest in the Bethleham cemetery.
"He bade no one a last farewell,
He said goodbye to none;
The Heavenly Gates were open
And a loving voice said, 'Come!"
And with farewell unspoken
He gently entered Home".
