Arizona Pioneer Killed In Mishap
Wesley Fuller, a pioneer of southern Arizona, died instantly yesterday in Nogales, as the consequence of an accidental gunshot would through the heart, occurring while the aged man was cleaning a shotgun. Fuller was 67 years of age.
The said accident occurred at the home of the sister of the deceased, Mrs. Josephine Saxon. The pioneer was extremely well known in southern Arizona, having arrived in this section during the early days of settlement. Mr. Fuller was born in Oregon, his parents having pioneered their way across the plains. He reached Yuma before the Southern Pacific was built there, and shortly afterward came to this portion of the state, where he has been a mining man.

He is mentioned in several books about the Gunfight at the OK Corral.
On October 26, 1881, Wes Fuller, a reported gambler and friends with members of the notorious outlaw gang called the Cowboys, was present at the gunfight at the OK Corral in Tombstone, AZ involving Wyatt Earp, his brothers and Doc Holiday against members of the Cowboys.
Just before the gunfight occurred, Fuller had walked towards several Cowboys, Billy Clinton and Frank McLaury. But when the shooting started, Fuller fled and hide nearby.
Fuller would later testified against Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday at this preliminary hearing for murder in the aftermath of the Gunfight at the OK Corral.
