The 1880 census shows Rosa, then 17, and her siblings Carolina, 20; Henry, 21; Frederic, 15 [ b. 1865 ]; and David, 12 [ b. 1868 ]; plus a "boarder" (Rosa's uncle) John "Kayres," 46 [ 1834 ], living in the same household as mother Catherine Romire, 52 [b. 1828 ], who was John's sister.
Rosa's mother Catherine Romire and her uncle John Kyress share a tombstone in this same cemetery. Catherine and John's fellow German immigrant sister Fredericka "Rachael" Kyress Abendschoen is in Oak Grove Cemetery in Marietta of this county.
In his 1892 will, uncle John Kyress left niece Rosa Romire his village of Salem house.
Rosa's brother Henry is in Good Hope Cemetery in Washington County, and their brother Fred/Frederic is in Early/Ridgeway Cemetery in Logan County, Ohio. (The Fred Romire in Eastlawn cemetery of this county is a different lineage. It is unclear where Rosa's father Gottlieb Romire died or is buried, but his children were born in Watertown of this county.)
