In June 1900 Kattie Schoon (5 y, born in September 1895 in Illinois), her father Nick Schoon (40, April 1860, Holland, immigrated in 1890, farmer), her mother Sady (38, December 1862, Holland, immigrated in 1890, mother of 7 living and 2 late children), her siblings Aberham (18, February 1882, Holland, farm laborer), Cornelius (13, March 1887, Holland, farm laborer), Gurta (10, April 1890, Holland), Jakob (9, July 1891, Illinois), Bessie (6, May 1894, Illinois) and Nicklous (1, October 1899, Indiana) lived at a rented farm in North Township, Lake County, in the utter northwestern part of Indiana.

On May 16, 1890 Katie's father Klaas Schoon (30, laborer), mother Zuidje (28), siblings Abram (7), Cornelis (3) and Guurtje (4) arrived 16 May 1890 on the SS Rotterdam, which departed from Amsterdam, at the port of New York, Castle Garden. Their destination was Kensington, nowadays a southern district and railway junction of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

In April 1910 Katie Schoon (14), her father Nicklaas Schoon (49, farmer), her mother Sadie (48), her sibling Abraham (28, farm laborer), Cornelius (23, farm laborer), Jacob (18, farm laborer), Bessie (15), Nicklaas (10) and Peter (1, Indiana) were living on a rented farm at Ridge Road in Highland, North Township, in the extreme northwestern part of Lake County, Indiana.

In February 1920 Katie (24, Illinois) and her husband Peter Blom (25, Illinois, freight handler) lived in a rented house at Ridge Road in Munster/Hammond, North Township, Lake County, Indiana.

In April 1930 Katie (34) and her husband Peter Blom (35, lumber truck driver) lived in their own house, worth $6000, at Kennedy Avenue in Highland, Lake County, Indiana. They had then two boarders, Freda Groote (24, Minnesota) and Ella Groote (21, Minnesota).

In May 1940 Katie (44), her husband Peter Blom (44, meat cutter at a grocery) and her mother Sadie Schoon (78, Holland) lived at their own home, worth $5000, 8916 Kennedy St. in Highland Town, North Township, Lake County, Indiana. They lived in 1935 at the same house.

Her husband Peter Blom died in June 1967 at the age of 72 years, very probably in Highland, Lake County, Indiana.

Katie died in March 1982 at the age of 86 years in South Holland, located just south of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Her second husband William Peter Evers died in 1985 at the age of about 92 years and was buried next to his first wife Margaret Spoolstra in Lansing, Cook County, Illinois.

Katie didn't have children.
