He was born on Thursday, November 29, 1945 in Lima, Ohio, to Carl John Johnson and Audrey Carolyn (Albert) Johnson, who both preceded him in death. He first married Dorothy Ayers who survives in Lima . On September 14, 1991 he married Loretta Bowen who preceded him in death on April 5, 2008.
He was a CB Radio Operator and loved hunting, camping and fishing.
Surviving are three sons, Danny (Melissa) Lee Johnson, Jr. of Wapakoneta, OH, Mack Anthony (Kimberly) Johnson, Sr. of Ottawa, OH and Anthony "Andy" (Stephanie) Bruns of Spencerville, OH; Grandchildren Juan Johnson, Mack Johnson, Jr., Hope Johnson, Faith Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Baylee Johnson, Jacob Bruns, Cale Bruns and Aubrey Bruns; a great grandchild Brynn Johnson; two brothers Chuck (Lois) Johnson of Florence, KY and Mack (Joyce) Johnson of Lima, OH; three sisters Goldie (Rodney) Estes of Elida, OH, Linda Johnson of Lima, OH and Patricia (Edward) Caskey of Lima, OH; a brother-in-law Henry Caskey of Lima, OH.
He was preceded in death by brothers, James Johnson, Frank Johnson, Gerald Johnson, Bill Johnson and Jack Johnson, sisters, Margaret Davis, Wanda Steman, Edna Caskey and Viola Dawson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Rev. Wanda Werking, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
