Mary S. Singleton, 83, of Anderson, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at her residence.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at 2:15 p.m. at Bethel AME Church Cemetery in the Plantersville Community of Georgetown.

Foggie's Home for Funerals in Anderson is in charge of arrangements. Wilds Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of local arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2003, from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Singleton was born Feb. 11, 1920, in the Plantersville Community of Georgetown, a daughter of the late Morris Singleton and the late Susan Addison Singleton. She attended Georgetown County schools.

She attended Bethel AME Church in Georgetown and Hoods Temple AME Zion Church in Richmond, Va. Mrs. Singleton was a retired beautician and housekeeper.

Surviving are one brother, Melvin Singleton of Patterson, N.J.; and one sister, Mrs. Marthena S. Williams of Anderson.
