Mary M. Fryzel nee Godfryd, age 92, longtime resident of Crete formerly of South Holland & Roseland, IL. Passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Loving wife of 62 years of the late Stanley Fryzel. Devoted mother of Stanley Fryzel of Crete, IL and Michael (Gloria) Fryzel of South Holland, IL. Proud grandmother of 9; Great-grandmother of 15; Great-great-grandmother of 2. Dearest sister of Ann (late Joseph) Lyson of Homer Township and Jean (Robert) Ver Haar of Mokena, IL. Kind aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, August 15, 2008 from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Prayer service Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL to Holy Ghost Catholic Church (170th & Cottage Grove Ave. South Holland, IL) for 10:00 a.m. Mass with Rev. Anthony Talarico officiating. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Mrs. Fryzel was born August 17, 1915. She was a retired assembler for International Harvester (Navistar,) West Pullman Works. Mrs. Fryzel, along with her late husband Stanley, her sister Jean Ver Haar and her husband Robert, were also owners of South End Catering, which served Roseland, Pullman, West Pullman and South Suburban communities. She was a member of the St. Salomea Holy Rosary Society, Post 30 Auxillary, Navistar Retirement Club and the Dolton Chapter AARP. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Charity of Your Choice appreciated.
