Rosalie Pickering, 71, Fayetteville, died Thursday at the Crestwood Nursing Center in Hillsboro.
She was born March 24, 1917, in Brown County, the daughter of Cary L. and Florence (Edgington) Bennington.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Pickering on July 27, 1982, one brother and one granddaughter, Patricia Mullins on July 13, 1987.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Mullins of Lynchburg; one son Richard Pickering of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Alice Lawhorn of Brooksille, Florida, one brother, Jesse C. Bennington of Dayton, Kentucky, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law, Lloyd and Kate Pickering of Silver Springs, Florida, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg with Tom Napier officiating.
Burial followed in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
