Anthony Christiana and his sister, Madeline Christiana, were fatally injured on the Barataria Road, when an automobile struck the children and their sister, Bessie. Anthony died instantly. Madeline died in Touro Infirmary several hours later. Bessie's condition was reported improved the next day. The driver was held on manslaughter charges.

Son of Paulina Gennaro and Joseph Christiana; brother of Bessie, Bonnie and the late Madeline Christiana; aged 4 years, 8 months; a native and resident of Marrero, La.

Joint funeral services were held on April 30, 1932 from the late residence at Willow Springs road and Lafitte Highway, near Marrero, with services at the Marrero Catholic church. Interment was in Hook and Ladder cemetery.
