Thelma Clowser Brown, age 87, passed away on Monday, November 12. She had been in the care of Blue Ridge Hospice.
Mrs. Brown was born in Winchester, the daughter of Clarence Watkins Clowser and Lena Himelright Clowser.
She had been married to her husband, Gerald D. Brown, for 61 years at the time of his passing in 2008.
She is survived by her daughters Janice L. Neumann and her husband Joseph of Elizabethton, TN, and Deborah A. Robinson and her husband Douglas of Winchester.
Surviving grandchildren include Laura B. Stewart (husband Ryan), Jennifer N. Robinson and Matthew D. Robinson, all of Winchester, as well as Aaron K. Neumann (wife Marie) of Albuquerque, NM, Sarah K. Shearer (husband Jon) of Nashville, TN, Ethan N. Neumann (wife Desirae) of Blountville, TN, Seth C. Neumann of Nashville, TN. In addition, Mrs. Brown is survived by four great-grandchildren including Hannah Elizabeth and Matthias Kurt Neumann of Albuquerque, NM, as well as Rebecca Lin and Natalie Elise Neumann of Blountville, TN.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Winchester, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 1 PM, by Pastor Steve Rebert and Pastor Robert K. Vineyard at Greenway Spirit and Word Fellowship, 1275 Tasker Rd., Stephens City, VA.
The family will receive friends at the Greenway Spirit and Word Fellowship from 12 noon to 1 PM. Interment in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Front Royal Pike, Winchester, will follow the service.
Pallbearers will be Aaron K. Neumann, Ethan N. Neumann, Seth C. Neumann, Matthew D. Robinson, Ryan Stewart, and Earl Williams.
