Died – At his home in the Town of Chilton, on Friday morning, April 24, 1885, Patrick Madigan, aged about 72 years. The deceased was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, came to America and settled in Rhode Island in 1848, where he remained until 1855, when he moved to Wisconsin and settled in the town of Chilton, this county. In 1856 he left here and returned to Rhode Island, where he remained ten years, and then came back to this county, where he remained until death called him home. His death occurred suddenly, he having been troubled with heart disease. He leaves one son to mourn his loss. He was buried on Sunday last from St. Augustine's Church, of which church he was a member.
