Also surviving are two sons, Randy (Michelle) Kent and Ronnie Kent; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Blue, Samantha Kent and Randy J. (Brenna) Kent; two nieces, Sherri (Gene) Smith and Laura (David) Shaw; and one nephew, Scot (Heidi) Smith.
Raymond worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 15 years, retiring from shipping and receiving.
He was a graduate of Spalding Institute. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and its men's club. An avid Cubs and NASCAR fan, he loved to fish and loved his dog, Leutze.
Cremation rites were accorded, with burial of ashes in Resurrection Mausoleum at a later date.
