She was the daughter of Felix Edgar and Alta Susan (Butler) Campbell and married John Sumner Towry - 23 Aug 1936 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. Her obituary follows:

Mrs. Ruby Campbell Towry of Fayetteville died Thursday, March 29, at her residence, 509 Hatcher Drive, following a long illness. She was 54 years old and the wife of John S. Towry, who survives.

Services were Friday at Higgins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Reuben Trussell officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

A native of Hazel Green, Alabama, she was a member of the Church of Christ. For a number of years, she and her husband were in the restaurant business in Fayetteville.

Survivors in addition to her husband is a son, James E. Towry, also of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Sue Malone of Murfreesboro; a brother F. E. Campbell of Fayetteville, and three grandchildren.
