We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Dorothy Skipper Elkins age 83, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away January 16, 2013 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Talmadge Worsley officiating. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM at Evans-Skipper. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA with William Bramlett, Kenneth Starr, Stephen Starr, Adam Funk, Cade McClellan, and John Baker serving as pallbearers.

She was born in Donalsonville, GA on January 25, 1929 to the late William "Bill" and Ula Mae Herrington Skipper. She was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Elkins is survived by sons, Earnest Hanks and Boyd Hanks both of Donalsonville, GA; Johnny Hanks of Webb, AL; daughter, Dianne Bradshaw of Colquitt, GA; sister, Willie Mae Zisk of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Ula Mae Herrington Skipper, her husband, Charlie Lee Elkins, and a daughter, Carolyn Varnum.
