Born June 26, 1949, in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Padilla Sr. and Idalia (Rodriguez) Padilla.
A veteran of the U. S. Navy, Yvette was the owner of Loving Care of South Carolina – "In home care for seniors", a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and a member of Altrusa International for several years.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Edwards of Spartanburg; brother, Alexander Padilla of Spartanburg; sister, Cynthia P. Hardy (Randy) of Spartanburg; niece, Rachel C. Hardy of Spartanburg; and nephew, Randy "Alex" Hardy of Spartanburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, January 18, 2013, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, by the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Mahaffey.
Entombment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.
Memorials could be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, 161 North Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
