He is survived by his wife Carla Grimes; sons, Stephen Grimes, of Appalachia, VA, DJ Sturgill, of Big Stone Gap, VA; brothers, Franklin Grimes and wife Sally, of Gray, TN, Randy Grimes and wife Angie, of Ohio, Ricky Grimes, of Appalachia, VA; sisters, Betty Robinson, of Big Stone Gap, VA, Patsy Woodward, of Big Stone Gap, VA, Doris Calton, of Kingsport, TN, Nancy Woodward and husband Johnny, of Big Stone Gap, VA, Bobbie Jean Parsons and husband Steve, of Appalachia, VA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. with Rev. Michael Meade officiating.
Graveside services will be held at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013.
