Ola Williams Dryden, 77, of Vidor, died Friday, March 10, 1995 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 12, at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with Rev. Donnie Goodwin officating. Burial was at Morse Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lindon Hoffort, James Williams, Greg Whitmire, Burnice Whitmire, Nathan Swearingen and Brad Moss.

Born October 11, 1917, in the Old Laurel community in Newton Coounty, she was the daughter of Amos Williams and Sally Murphy Willians. A one year resident of Vidor, she had lived most of her life in the Buna area.

Survivors include 4 sons, Jimmy Dryden of Fulton, NY, Sammy Dryden of Mauriceville, Jack Dryden of Houston, and Bill Ed Dryden of Orange; 5 daughters, Evon Whitmire of Orange, Estelle Whitmire and Dewanda Swearingen all of Buna, Johnnie Rush of Silsbee and Dotty Mayea of Vidor; 5 brothers, Joe Williams and Jim Williams of Buna, Clyde Williams of Merryville, LA and Max Williams of Winnie; 4 sisters; Katherine Wood of Buna, Mavis Oxley of Temple, Ruth Walton of Livingston and Geraldine Williams of Vidor; 31 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and on great-great-grandchild.
