MARRIAGE: (THIRD), Mrs. M. A. Pool married L. [Leonidas] Blewster 17 January 1878. The marriage license was issued on 17 January 1878 and they were married the same date, according to their marriage license, by William J. Green, M.G., Houston County, GA. "Georgia, Houston County. I Certify that Mr. L. Blewster and Mrs. M.A. Pool were joined in Matrimony by me this 17th day of January Eighteen Hundred and Seventy-Eight s/Wm J. Greene, M.G." ==========

CHILDREN: Leonidas fathered a total of 12 children, 11 of whom are listed with this memorial. The 12th child was James Raymond Blewster, born 15 August 1865, and died before 1880. Family researchers discussed several years as to whether his mother was Martha Ann Parham or Elizabeth D. Parham Hammock*. Assuming the marriage dates cited above are correct, it seems clear that his mother would have been Martha Ann Parham. Whatever the case, Martha and Elizabeth were sisters, so the DNA was intact. This question requires further study, especially in light of the greater accessibility of research materials.

*Elizabeth D. Parham Hammock was previously married to William Welborn Hammack, who died October 3, 1857.
