Lifted up into the arms of his Lord and reunited with his beloved wife of 41 years Eleanor, nee Merlau (2008). Edward passed away at Heritage House, St Jacobs on January 13, 2013 in his 94th year.

Cherished brother of Erma Cressman, Thelma Randall, Irene Weber, Doras Stevanus and Ruth Shantz. Brother-in-law to Nelma Merlau, Ruth Fuhr and Hilda (Harold) Shiry. Edward will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Norman & Katie Laura Dedels (nee Bechtel), brothers-in-law Fred Cressman, Robert Weber, Myron Stevanus, Vernon Shantz, Elton Randall, Henry Merlau and Lorne Fuhr.

In his retirement years Edward was a dedicated volunteer with the MCC Thrift Store on Lancaster Street in Kitchener.

The family invites you to share your memories of Edward during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday January 19 from 1-3pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3pm with Rev. Bev Suderman-Gladwell officiating. Interment to follow at Breslau Mennonite Cemetery in Breslau
