Marjorie J. "Margie" Knowles, 88, Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 3:35 p.m. at IU Health Arnett. Margie was born on December 31, 1924, in Lafayette to the late James and Delsie Blackwell Ross. She was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. On May 10, 1946, she married William T. Knowles, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1990. Margie worked as a Secretary for Purdue University Airport and Field House. She was an avid Purdue Sports fan, especially the Women's Basketball team, and enjoyed music and dancing.

Surviving are two children, Randy Knowles of Battle Ground, and Debbie (Roger) May of Battle Ground. Also surviving is one sister, Shirley Klooz of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Christy Murray; and one great grandson, Craig Hinson, the love of her life.

She is preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at Simplicity Funeral Care.
