Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 22 for Charles Werner Schetlin of California City who passed away at Tehachapi Hospital Monday after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.
The resuscitator was used on the victim before he was transported to the hospital.
He was born in New York on July 11, 1891 and was a former clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. where he worked for 35 years. He had been in California for about eight years and in Kern Co. for over five years.
Mr. Schetlin is survived by his wife Irene; one son, Raymond of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hooper of Canoga Park, and Mrs. M. Lundquist of Ohio; ten grandchildren also survive,
Rev. J. D. Countryman will conduct the services at Stickel Chapel in Mojave after which burial following in the local cemetery.
