Clyde Walter Payne, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 5, 2010, at the residence.
He served in the United States Navy in Vietnam and worked for Santek for 16 years.
He was the son of the late Bulia Lawson Payne and Charlie Payne. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Helen Frances Payne and Virginia Conner.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Sandra Payne of Cleveland; stepson, Donnie McCann; stepdaughter, Misty Forgey, both of Cleveland; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters: Barbara Witt, Joann Holmes and her husband, Alan, and Helen Dill; one brother, Bill Payne and his wife, Carolyn, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Anthony Howard and Ray Cheathem officiating.
Interment will follow in Hays Shed Cemetery with Nathan Payne, Mike Broyles, Rick Dennis, Colton Moon, Preston Moon and Dustin Dillard serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
