Bessie Lorene Sullivan, 96, a resident of Hudson Hollow Road, Fayetteville, and a homemaker, died died Friday (December 21, 2001) at Lincoln Care Center. A Lincoln County native, she was the daughter of the late Clifford N. and Maggie E. Creson Ashby. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her husband, O. H. Sullivan, who died in 1959. Survivors include her son, and daughter-in-law, Hilton and Christine Sullivan of Fayetteville; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and David Stevenson of Fayetteville; grandson, Danny Sullivan; granddaughter, Valorie Nichols; great-grandson, Charlie Sullivan; and three step-great-grandchildren, Evan, Taylor and Madison Extine. Funeral services were held Monday (December 24) at McCauley Funeral Home with Ben Renegar and Ed Chapman officiating. Interment was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
