Born in Enders, Russia, on July 28, 1897, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Hele Biel. She came to Sheboygan in 1914.
On Oct 27, 1917, she married David Yurk. He died in 1961.
Mrs. Yurk was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, and the German Volga Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving Mrs Yurk are four sons, Arthur and Roland of Sheboygan, Christ of Park Falls, WI and Arno of New Haven, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs Theodore (Lillian) Wehrman of Sheboygan, and Mrs Esther Szamatulski of Hawthone, NJ; 11 grandchildren; and five sisters, Mrs Dorothy Eirich, Mrs David Ruppel, Mrs John Kraus, Mrs Alex Kraus, and Mrs Frank Doering, all of Sheboygan.
Two daughters, a brother and two sisters proceded her in death.
Funeral at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Burial in Wildwood cemetery.
