As Samuel was born and died when the Julian calendar was used, based on Samuel's recorded date of birth (Jan. 9, 1659, O.S.) on the day Samuel died he was 74 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of his Age) 75, but based on the modern Gregorian calendar (the basis of the Findagrave calendar), he was 73 years old and Ætatis suæ 74.
