Maxime Abelard, 62, of Randolph, formerly of Brockton, died Jan. 1, 2013. Native of Haiti, he was a promoter and function planner there and was employed by Powers Pharmaceutical here. He enjoyed family times and loved to dance, make jokes and travel. He was the son of Aimie (Menelas) Abelard of Brockton and the late August Abelard; beloved husband of Yvrose (St. Fleur) Abelard; loving father of Jennifer Abelard of Rhode Island, Sterdy Charles of Canada, Magdala Caristhene (and Wilbert) of Medford and Marielle Abelard of Randolph; grandfather of Taysha, Corey, Ksean, Jomar, Nayla, Shanaya, Jarielle and Anaya; brother of Menelas Abelard, Andre Abelard, Claudette Beljean, Jocelie Abelard, Flore Jean-Jeune, Raphaelle Ledan, Jean-Pierre Abelard and Florine Toussaint; and an uncle of many.
