GREENWOOD - Charles E. Moorman, age 82, died Thursday January 10, 2013 at his residence from heart failure.
He was born in Carrollton September 9, 1930 to the late Jesse James and Charlie Homer Narmour Moorman and resided in the Greenwood area most of his life. Was an owner of a small engine repair shop in Greenwood, liked to fish and also liked to make people laugh. Mr. Moorman took great pride serving this country as a US Army veteran in the Korean War and was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Russell Moorman and Junior Moorman and a sister, Mary Sue Baker.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM Sunday 1/13/2013 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Sunday at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County with Reverend Bernard Wiggins officiating.
Pallbearers will be Eric Baker, Jerry Caldwell, Jerry McKinney, James Moorman, Austin Moorman and Tyler Moorman. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
He is survived by 2 Brothers, Curtis Moorman of Texas and Murray Moorman of Greenwood and several nieces and nephews.
