Services for Junior Edward Moorman of Greenwood will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.

Mr. Moorman, 81, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at his home.

He was born in Tallahatchie County on July 26, 1926 to Jesse and Charlie (Narmour) Moorman and resided in the Greenwood area all of his life. He was a veteran of the National Guard and a 32nd degree Shriner Mason. He was a corrections officer for MDOC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie D. Moorman; his parents, Jesse James and Charlie Narmour Moorman; a brother, Russell Moorman; and a grandson, Michael Wayne Moorman.

He is survived by two sons, Johnny Edward Moorman of Greenwood and David Dewayne Moorman of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Carolyn Marie McKinney of Greenwood; three brothers, Charles Moorman and Murry Moorman, both of Greenwood, and Curtis Moorman of Kaufman, Texas; a sister, Sue Baker of Greenwood; and three grandchildren, Tori Denton, Melissa Moorman and Jerry Mc-Kinney.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The Rev. Danny Griffin will officiate at the services, and the Rev. Bernard Wiggins will assist.

Pallbearers will be Allen Barry, Kenneth Barry, Art Hicks, Ronnie Hicks, PeeWee Malone and Terry Malone. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Teoc.
