Robert N. Eyre, 75, former village policeman and county deputy sheriff died last night at 6:30 o'clock at his home in Sprakers following an illness of four years.
Born May 23, 1874, in Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Humphrey Eyre. He served on the village police force for 25 years and later was a Montgomery County deputy sheriff for about 20 years. He retired several years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Ella Curry Eyre; one brother, Richard Eyre, Brockville, Ontario, Canada; one sister, Mrs. May Kilborn, Ontario, Canada, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
