Mrs. Anna E. Meck, 425 North College Street, died this morning in the Carlisle Hospital. She was 86 years old.
Born Dec. 26, 1876, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine Horn Braught. Twice married, she was the widow of William Shearer and Charles S. Meck.
Mrs. Meck was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church and of the Golden Age Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Miss Miriam K. Shearer, at home; a step-son, Robert S. Meck, Camp Hill;a step-daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Hergenrother, West Newton, Mass.; two brothers, John T. and Harvey A. Braught, both of RD2.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street with the Rev. Dr. H.A. Houseal, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
