Marie Underwood
Mansfield - Marie E Underwood, 67, widow of John I Underwood, died Wednesday aternoon at the home of her daughter following a two month illness.
She was born September 7, 1918, in Lexington, and had lived in the Mansfield area her entire life. She retired from the North American Knitting Co. in 1981.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Dale (Martha) Secrist, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Lottie Worley of Lexington and Ruth Paine of Three Rivers, Mich. She was preceded in death by a sister, Annabelle Prosser.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors by the Rev. Nolan Steiner, pastor of the Little Washington Congregational Church. Buriel will be in the Lexington Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
