Mrs. Clara Frances Poe, 73, of Caruthersville, died October 19, 2012 in Kennett. The daughter of the late Clarence Brumley and Mildred B. Brumley Garner, she was born January 9, 1939 in Gobler.

She married Charles Wimberley, the father of her children, and later married Lyndall Poe, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Nunnery Chapel Baptist Church in Denton and was a graduate of the Steele High School Class of 1956.

Mrs. Poe was employed for a number of years at Brown Shoe Co. and Colson's in Caruthersville. She also worked for a time at the Caruthersville Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Poe was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Brumley, and one sister, Phyllis Medlin.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Alexander of St. Charles; one son, Randy Wimberley of Caruthersville; three sisters: Cherry Jo Nichols of Jonesboro; Eula Faye Pinkston of Galveston, Texas; and Janice Smith of Crystal City, Mo.; one brother, Mike Garner of Pacific, Mo. She also leaves behind two grandchildren; Joni Wimberley an Matthew Wimberley, and three great-grandchildren: Jacinda Sides, Jashon Leech, and Devin Wimberley.

Graveside services were conducted Monday October 21, 2012 at Mount Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Ferguson officiating.

Pallbearers were Austin Vandusen, Thomas Vandusen, Ryan Brumley, Jason Rea, Kevin Medlin and Wyatt Wimberley.

Powell Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
