In Memory of Elizabeth Frances Barnett Gallman, who's burial site is currently unknown.

Elizabeth married Jehu J Gallman about 1868. They had 1 known child: Leila O Gallman Stephens.

She was the daughter of Javan & Rachel [White] Barnett of Columbia Richland Co SC.

Jehu & Elizabeth had 2 grand children:
Alexander and Louis Stephens, both were WWI veterans, and Louis, also served in WWII, he is buried at Golden Gate Natl' Cemetery in San Meteo Co CA.

Eliza had the following siblings:
Lousia Angelina Barnett, Susan Jane Barnett Davidson, John Bunyan Barnett, Laura Eugenia Barnett Loudette, William Micajah Barnett, Alice Olivia Barnett Little, and Sarah "Sallie" F Barnett Glass.

1880 this Gallman family was living in NC:

Gallman, Jehu J W M 38 Capenter SC SC SC
Elizabeth F W F 38 wife Kephse SC SC SC
Leila O W F 12 dau at home SC SC SC

Her husband, Jehu was a Civil War Veteran, served as 2nd Lt Co H 5th Regt SC Vol Infantry.

Jehu's Civil War service record was applied to a FindAGrave memorial# 10383309, for John Jefferson Gallman, I believe this to be an error, there is also, another Memorial# 32882437, in the same cemetery, that claims this John Jefferson Gallman to be the husband of a Mary Ann Gallman... Jehu's Civil War records clearly show him a Jehu J Gallman, in addition to census records.

Jehu's Civil War Service records, also, show that he was a resident of Union Co SC and enlisted in that county. He was captured in the war and sent to Fort Delaware prison, later, a John H Gallman in the same unit was captured in TN, and eventually, sent to the same prison in Delaware, where both Gallman's were held until the wars end. JH was a Lt, some records of Jehu show that he also was a Lt, but I believe he was a Cpl for most of the time, it is possible with 2 Gallman's that errors were made.
