"PORT CLINTON
Rev. S. T. Lane died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Hollinshead, last Saturday evening at 9 o'clock. Deceased was 82 years old, and many years of his life were spent in the United Brethren ministry. Mr. Lane leaves an aged widow and seven children to mourn his loss. The funeral occurred Wednesday afternoon at the United Brethren church. It was the request of Mr. Lane for a number of years that Rev. William Mathers, of Lemert, O., an aged gentleman, officiate at his funeral. The pall bearers were all ministers from different parts of the State, among them being Rev. Hoffman, of Fostoria, former pastor of the United Brethren church here."
