Charles Black, 80, of Hart passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at 10:00AM in the First Baptist Church in Hart. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Charles was born on December 30, 1931 in Seymour, Texas to Christopher Columbus Black and Beulah Malone Black. Charles married Wanda Wagner on December 25, 1949. He farmed for many years and he also owned High Plains Insurance Agency in Hart. He enjoyed hunting and boating in his spare time.

Charles is survived by 3 sons, Donnie Black and wife Bernadine of River Road, Texas, Ricky Black and wife Dana of Nazareth, and Chad Black and wife Tammy of Lubbock, 3 brothers, Jim Black of Hart, J.W. Black of Procter, and W.C. Black of Grandbury, 9 grandchildren, Sage Black, Jacy Black, Brady Black, Brodie Black, Reyla Black, Marsha Pohlmeier, Wendy Wilcox, Jamie Black, and Chase Black, 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Black, 1 brother, Bob Black, and 1 sister, Nell Black Puckett.
