Services for Robert E Gurley, 76, were held at Parsons Mortuary with Elder Elmer Weaver officiating. Burial was at Wylie Cemetery [Gardner-Wylie Cemetery in Decator County, Tennessee]. Mr Gurley, a retired farmer, died Thursday afternoon at Jackson Madison Co following surgery. He had lived most of his life in the Bath Springs area. Surviving are his wife, Vera MANERS Gurley; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Hughes of Jackson and three sisters, Mrs. Vessie Howell of McKenzie, Mrs. Callie McCollum of Lexington and Mrs. Effie Thompson of Steele, Missouri.
